How this website handles your information. Short version: a contact form you choose to fill in, first-party analytics without cookies, and nothing sold to anyone.
Who we are
LightControl is a product of ShelfControl LLC (Columbus, Ohio, USA). This policy covers the marketing website at lightcontrol.io. The LightControl application itself is governed by the agreement and privacy terms provided with your subscription.
What we collect
Contact form. When you request a demo we receive what you submit: name, email, showroom, phone (optional), and your message. If you arrived via a marketing link, we also attach the campaign parameters (UTM), the page you landed on, and the referring site, so we know what brought you here.
Analytics. We run our own first-party, cookieless analytics. It records pageviews, the referring site, campaign parameters, time-on-page, scroll depth, page performance, clicks on buttons and outbound links, and your approximate location — country and region only, derived at the network edge, never a street address. It sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifier: visitors are counted with a hash that rotates daily, and your IP address is used only to compute that hash — it is not stored. There is no Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics on this site.
Spam protection. The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to filter bots. Turnstile processes technical browser signals under Cloudflare's privacy policy; it does not show puzzles to most visitors.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and schedule the demo you asked for.
- To understand which pages and campaigns are useful, and which aren't.
- To keep the site secure and abuse-free.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for cross-site tracking.
Where it goes
Form submissions and analytics events are processed on ShelfControl's own infrastructure, hosted on DigitalOcean servers we manage; site traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, which provides the location signal described above. Submissions become a lead record in our internal CRM so a real person can follow up. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Retention
Contact submissions are kept for as long as we have an active conversation or business relationship, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is aggregate by design and kept for trend reporting.
Your choices
- Email [email protected] to access, correct, or delete anything you've submitted.
- Our first-party analytics has no cookies to decline; blocking JavaScript disables it entirely.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted plainly on this page.
